Serving the Community

Serving the community has always been one of the foundational aspects of our work in Kosova. Through various partnerships with national and international organizations we have been involved in:

• rebuilding over 450 homes
• reconstructing schools in the villages of Krivaja, Gari, and Banica
• distributing food, clothes and medications
• creating micro-enterprise projects like a ladies handcraft business in Kaçanik
• teaching English as a second langauge
• occupational therapy services

When we transitioned to Gjilan and opened the Resurrection Center we immediately resumed Occupational Therapy services and English as a second language courses. Our initial ESL courses were offered for English teachers from local high schools, police officers and high school juniors and seniors. We also offer limited, free photocopying for teacheres, very inexpensive photocopying services for the community, computers and low-cost internet services.

We are also developing an Occupation Therapy training program that will prepare new therapists in the health care industry.
